I'm really getting sick of all the crap going on with the school I go to.

I'll be going to classes in the same program, in the same places, but technically going to a different school. The culinary program I'm in was part of Marshall University's Community and Technical school. Due to some fucked up state legislation, the Community and Tech school has to split from Marshall and become their own school.

The minor pain of the ass with this is that all of the admissions, registration, and financial aid data has to be transferred over and put into a new system, along with new student IDs, new student email addresses, and a new website to access all the pertaining information. Classes start in just over a week, and they're not done. I still have absolutely no idea how much financial aid I'll be getting, or if it is even approved for that matter.

The bigger pain in the ass is that after this summer, our degrees will no longer be coming from Marshall University, but from whatever they decide to name the Community and Technical school. Yeah, that's right.... I'm actually going to a school with no name for the time being. All they know is that they want the name to have the same initials so that the website and email addresses won't have to be changed yet again. For all we know, we could end up with degrees from the Miskatonic Cthulhu Training Center or the Magical Crotchsniffing Turnip College. Actually... that first would would be pretty badass, but that's beside the point. Marshall University is not a big, prestigious school, but it does have a bit of national recognition between "We Are Marshall," the movie that came out a few years back about the plane crash that killed nearly the entire football team, coaching staff, and a number of boosters, as well as a couple of I-AA football championships due to Randy Moss and Chad Pennington. Now, I'll have a degree from a school that noone has ever heard of. Definitely not going to win any bonus points at job interviews with that one.

So, Kyla is gradually getting introduced to solid food. She's been getting a little here and there for probably the last month or so, but we're starting to try to give her a little every day.

Despite her constantly trying to grab the spoon, I actually managed to get more in her than on her. Definitely a victory.

However, unlike Bush..... she's got her exit strategy down pat.

So I wake Kyla up from a nap, change her diaper, and sit down with her on my lap. Not 15 seconds later she stretches out, grunts a little and proceeds to loudly fill her diaper. Then she looks up at me and grins.
